Pruning: The Knockout Rose Tree requires minimal pruning. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches in early spring before new growth appears. Trim back the branches to maintain the desired shape and size.

Fertilization: Fertilize the Knockout Rose Tree in early spring, just as new growth starts to emerge. Use a balanced slow-release fertilizer or a rose-specific fertilizer. Follow the package instructions for the recommended amount and apply it around the base of the tree. Water the tree thoroughly after fertilizing.

Winter Protection: Provide winter protection for the Knockout Rose Tree in colder regions where temperatures drop below freezing. Apply a layer of mulch around the base of the tree to insulate the roots and conserve moisture. Consider using a protective cover or wrapping the tree with burlap to shield it from harsh winter conditions.

To plant the Knockout Rose Tree, choose a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Prepare the planting hole by digging it twice as wide and as deep as the root ball. Loosen the soil and mix in organic matter, such as compost, to improve soil fertility and drainage. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring that the bud union (the swollen area where the rose is grafted onto the rootstock) is level with or slightly above the soil surface. Backfill the hole with soil, firming it gently around the roots. Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil.

Water the tree deeply once or twice a week, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings.
